Prime Contractor

GETTING STARTED

Before beginning work, contractors (primes and subs at all levels) must be pre-qualified by the IDOT to perform the specified work codes. Prequalification is based on the firm’s financial capability, equipment and experience. All highway construction prime contractors desiring to provide services to IDOT must be pre-qualified.
