SPRINGFIELD, IL -- The Illinois Department of Transportation will open bids on November 8, 2002 for various road and bridge improvement projects located throughout the state. Also included are two aeronautics projects.

Following is a list of the projects by county:

1. Champaign County, IL 130, District 5, Improvement of the intersection of IL 130 and Windsor Road consisting widening and resurfacing to provide turn lanes, also installation of traffic signals located southeast of Urbana. 30 Working Days.

2. Cook County, IL 19, District 1, 1.01 miles of milling and bituminous concrete surface on IL 19 from Barrington Road to Wise Road in Hanover Park and Schaumburg. Completion Date June 27, 2003 Plus 05 Working Days.

2P. Madison County, IL 255, District 8, 0.66 kilometer of grading, paving and signing for the reconstruction of IL 140 at Bethalto including right and left turn lanes, and installation of traffic signals at the Point Diamond Interchange. Also included is the construction of 0.16 kilometer of a two-lane service road north of IL 140. Completion Date November 15, 2003.

3. Grundy-Will Counties, I-80 (EB), District 3, 7.6 miles of concrete pavement on Interstate 80 (eastbound) from Morris to the Will County line, includes finishing construction of 5 structures. Completion Date October 01, 2003 Plus 20 Working Days.

4. Hamilton County, CH 7, District 7, 3.2 miles of bituminous resurfacing, aggregate shoulders and pavement marking on CH 7 from IL 14 northerly to 4.5 miles south of Dahlgren. 15 Working Days.

9. Logan County, Old IL 121, District 6, Pavement patching, bituminous surface removal, bituminous concrete resurfacing and aggregate shoulders on Old IL 121 in Lincoln from Old US 66 (Lincoln Parkway) north 2.30 miles. 25 Working Days.

Macoupin County, IL 111, District 6, Pavement, patching, bituminous surface removal, bituminous concrete resurfacing and aggregate wedge shoulders on IL 111 from Palmyra southerly 9.31 miles to north of IL 108.
