IDOT Launches New Video Series On Current Transportation Topics
 

SPRINGFIELD – Illinois Transportation Secretary Ann L. Schneider today announced a new video series that will feature messages on key Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) initiatives. “On the Move” will give the public a look into IDOT and will cover a variety of topics.

“This video series is an opportunity for me to provide further details on several imperative topics here at IDOT and also to elaborate on what we are working on to help keep you, the motorist, informed,” said Secretary Schneider. “I look forward to discussing new projects and initiatives as well as letting you know how you can help us keep our roads safe.”

The first video in the series will include information regarding the rising number of fatalities in Illinois and what must be done to save lives. Upcoming topics include a closer look at work zone safety and what drivers need to know while driving through them. Secretary Schneider will also be discussing outreach and recruitment efforts at the department, among other topics.
