Illinois Department of Transportation Invites Public to Sign Up For Free CDL Workshops
Informational Workshop Will Increase Awareness of CDL Requirements
EAST ST. LOUIS - Illinois Transportation Secretary Gary Hannig
today announced that the Illinois Department of Transportation
(IDOT) will host free informational workshops in East St. Louis.
Participants will be given information on the basic concepts
involved in obtaining a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). The
class will serve as a helpful tool toward obtaining a job that
requires a CDL.
Interested participants are
encouraged to sign up today at one of these locations for this
free class:

therefore we are extremely pleased to offer this course in order
to assist job seekers today.”
Class “A” CDL License plus ‘N’ or ‘X’ Endorsement and
Non-restrictive Air Brakes is required to take the CMS Test for
the IDOT Highway Maintainer position. Veteran’s preference also
applies to the highway maintainer position.
