The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announces that from Tuesday, March 23rd through Friday, March 26th motorists on I-74 at the US 34 interchange should expect 20 minute stoppages for the removal of existing beams. These stoppages will take place periodically between approximately 7:00 am and 5:00 pm on these days.
This work will also require the closure of the westbound US 34 ramp to eastbound I-74 on Tuesday and Friday, and the closure of the eastbound US 34 ramp to westbound I-74 on Wednesday and Thursday.
Motorists should plan accordingly. Please use extreme caution while driving through all work zones.
