ST. CLAIR COUNTY, IL -- The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will
hold a public informational meeting on April 4 to discuss adding lanes to
Interstate 64 in St. Clair County.
The informational meeting will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 4,
at Central School District 104, 309 Harman Lane, in O'Fallon. The public is
invited to attend at any time during the meeting hours.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposed addition of lanes to
I-64 and to receive public input on the proposal. The project includes adding
one eastbound and one westbound lane to I-64 from just west of IL 157 to just
west of Greenmount Road.
Handouts and display boards will be available for public review, as will
information regarding engineering, land acquisition, and environmental issues.
Representatives from IDOT and the consultant Burns and McDonnell will be
available to discuss the project and answer questions. Comments regarding the
project may be mailed or faxed to IDOT on or before April 25, 2002.
The meeting site is accessible to disabled individuals. If special
