COLLINSVILLE, IL -- Southbound I-55 between IL 43 and I-270 (mile post 19 to
22) will be closed to traffic periodically beginning Monday, January 21 in order
to remove and replace two overhead sign structures.
Total closure of the southbound lanes of I-55 will be limited to a maximum of
15 minutes during off-peak hours, after 9 a.m. each morning. Single lane
restrictions may be encountered at other times to allow for work on the
structures. The work is expected to be completed by January 30.
Contractor on the project is TMF Construction of Springfield, IL.
