DeKALB COUNTY, IL -- The Illinois Department of Transportation will hold an informational public meeting in Hinckley on September 11 to discuss the proposed improvement of US 30.

The public meeting will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Hinckley Village Hall, 720 James Street. The public is invited to attend at any time during the meeting hours. There will be no formal presentation.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposed improvement of US 30 through Hinckley, and to receive public input on the proposal. The project would include new pavement, curb and gutter, storm sewer, and a bi-directional left-turn lane. The work would be from Little Rock Creek, through Hinckley to 1000 feet east of the high school entrance.

Maps and other displays will be available for public review and IDOT personnel will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.

The meeting site is not accessible to disabled individuals. Anyone needing special accommodations should contact Geoff Smith at the above phone numbers.
