Public Hearing for Allen Road Improvements

PEORIA – The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will hold a public hearing for the improvement of Allen Rd. in Peoria, from the Townline Rd. intersection to the Wilhelm Rd. intersection, as well as the IL 6 interchange, Alta Ln., and Alta Rd. intersections.

WHAT:          Proposed improvements include:

·       New curb, gutter, and storm sewers

·       Bicycle and pedestrian accommodations

·       Intersection and traffic signal improvements

·       Pavement widening and replacement

·       Highway lighting

·       Rock Island Trail tunnel under Allen Rd.

·       Kickapoo Creek Tributary culvert replacement
