Illinois 47 From IL. 116 to U.S. 24
Open House Public Hearing Meeting
The Illinois Department of Transportation, District 3 Office,
will conduct an open house public hearing meeting regarding the
proposed resurfacing and improvement of Illinois 47 from Illinois
116 at Saunemin southerly 9.6 miles to U.S. 24 in Forrest.
Proposed is the milling, resurfacing, and shoulder & ditch
reconstruction of Illinois 47. The Vermillion River structure will
be removed and replaced. Other work includes extending or replacing
cross-road and driveway culverts and improving intersections.
Additionally, parking and sidewalks will be improved as requested by
the village. Right-of-Way will be required throughout the project.
Right-of-Way acquisition information will be available.
IDOT personnel will be available to address questions and
comments citizens may have about the project. Related exhibits, maps
and plans will also be available for public review. There will be
NO FORMAL PRESENTATION. All interested persons are invited
to attend and participate.
