Beginning May 20, Law Enforcement in Illinois is Cracking
Down on Seatbelt Law Violators

Increasing seat belt usage and child safety seat use is the most effective action we can
take to save lives and reduce injuries on our roadways.

Increased motor vehicle travel and too few people buckling up, particularly on
residential roads, are factors that can lead to tragedy this Memorial Day. That's why,
beginning May 20, local, county and state law enforcement agencies will kick off this
year's first Click It or Ticket enforcement wave.
