IDOT: IL Rt. 7 Bridge from Lockport to Romeoville
Re-opens!
SCHAUMBURG – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that the IL Rt. 7 Bridge between Lockport and Romeoville re-opened August 30, 2008. The bridge has been closed since May when it was completely closed for rehabilitation.
The purpose of the project, which was scheduled for completion by the end of August, was to resurface and rehabilitate the approximately half mile long bridge. The final items of work were the striping and installation of reflective pavement markers.
The contractor for the $1.9 million project was Albin Carlson & Co.
