Introduction For The Record (FTR) is an annual report of the awards and obligations made by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) for the annual Illinois Highway Improvement Program. The FTR includes improvements made to both the state and local highway systems, details the status of each project in the FY 2012 annual program as published in the FY 2012-2017 Proposed Highway Improvement Program during April of 2011 and lists projects added to the program and awarded in addition to the original set of projects. IDOT’s mission is to provide a safe, cost-effective transportation infrastructure for Illinois in ways that enhance the quality of life, promote economic prosperity and demonstrate respect for the environment. This report presents projects in the FY 2012 annual program that have been awarded and accomplish this mission. The awarded FY 2012 program totals $2,819,897,510 which includes $50,814,000 appropriated by the General Assembly from the Road Fund for state assistance to local governments.
