NOMINATION FORM

Freight movement is one of Illinois’ key industries and Illinois freight tonnage is the third largest in the United States. Illinois must prepare to meet future market challenges that will impact freight mobility both regionally and globally. The mission of the Illinois State Freight Advisory Council (ISFAC) is to provide a standing forum to the Illinois Department of Transportation for coordination of freight multimodal planning in the state of Illinois.

The Illinois Department of Transportation is seeking members for the ISFAC to provide freight expertise to this council. The ISFAC will have a statewide focus on freight mobility in Illinois that will reflect a mix of freight experts from across all modes representing both the modes themselves and the commodities which make up the freight composition in Illinois as well as business, labor, academic and professional organizations and economic development organizations.

In order to nominate an individual for membership on the ISFAC, please provide the following information:

  1. Name

  2. Title

  3. Organization, Association, or Affiliation

  4. Address (City, State, Zip)

  5. Telephone number

  6. Email address

  7. Brief Background and Experience (1 or 2 page resumé is sufficient)

  8. Statement of Interest (limited to 250 words) on why your membership will be a significant contribution to the ISFAC and identify your top five issues involving freight movement in Illinois.

Please email this nomination by COB October 15 2013 to ISFAC Nominations. Please do not submit letters of support.
