  Herrin Festa Italiana Parade


  11:00 a.m.
  Grand Parade Marshals Fred and Elanor Salmo of Herrin, IL, Lifetime Achievement Award winner Steve Fisher, the Illinois Department of Transportation.
  Herrin Middle School, 700 S. 14th Street, South end parking lot.
  HerrinFesta Italiana is the celebration of the heritage of Herrin, a Southern Illinois community. The festival provides a sense of community spirit, as well as a homecoming for former residents and a welcome to travelers from all over the Midwest. Proceeds from the event benefit the Herrin Chamber of Commerce and the Herrin Civic Center, as well as a number of community organizations that participate in individual events.

IDOT will have the Buckle Up Van in the parade. District 9 IDOT employees will walk with the van giving out clickers, pencils and key chains to children and Child Safety Seats: A Parentís Guide to anyone with children, or upon request.
