The project consists of replacing the concrete deck overlay and bridge rail and doing earthquake modifications on seven structures at the Illinois Route 3 ramps and Interstate 55/70/64 near the Poplar Street Bridge in East St. Louis and Sauget , Illinois .

The work to replace the concrete deck overlay and bridge rail will be done in four phases and will require the ramps to be completely closed. Marked detours will be established to aid the motorists during the ramp closure periods.
