Welcome to the I-55 at Weber Road Study Website.
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is preparing an Environmental Assessment of possible improvements to the Interstate 55 (I-55) interchange at Weber Road. The project study limits extend along Weber Road from 119th Street north of the interchange to 135th Street to the south and 1/2 mile east and west of Weber Road along I-55. This study has been identified as a Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) project.
This web site will provide up-to-date information on the progress of the project, relevant project-related materials and details about upcoming public meetings and opportunities to participate.

CAG Meeting #6 (tentative August 2011)
The sixth CAG meeting is tentatively scheduled to be held in August to give input on the initial alternative screening process.
Public Meeting #2
A public meeting was held at Romeoville Village Hall on
Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. The purpose
of the meeting was to update the public on the project
status, present the project problem statement, present
the Purpose and need, review the Initial range of
alternative, introduce the alternative evaluation
process and screening criteria, and to explain next
steps in the project process. Comments and new ideas
provided by the attendees were collected by the project

CAG Meeting #5 (April 2011)
The fifth CAG meeting was held to review and obtain
comments on the presentation and displays for Public
Meeting #2 on April 26th, 2011 at the Romeoville Village
Hall. An agenda and additional documents from this
